write from here.

start where you are. follow the thread. see what unfolds.

Through restorative writing, coaching, community, and thoughtful conversation, get curious about your own story, hear yourself more clearly, and learn to trust where your own voice leads you.

Maybe life took a turn you didn’t see coming. A relationship ended. Quit your job. Your health or someone else’s did. You got sober. Became a caregiver. Lost someone. Started over.

Or maybe you’ve simply reached a point where the story you’ve been living doesn’t feel quite like yours anymore.

When enough changes, it can be hard to hear your own voice among everything you’ve lived, everything you’re carrying, and everything you think you’re supposed to do next.

Write From Here is about putting what’s there on the page, getting curious about what you find, and learning to trust your own voice again.

Feel like you’ve lost the plot a little?

I've been filling journals since I was ten. They've followed me through addiction and recovery, grief, caregiving, career changes, and rebuilding my life more than once.

Somewhere along the way, I realized the writing wasn't giving me the answers. It was teaching me a different way to listen: to slow down, follow what was asking for my attention, and learn to trust my own voice.

I’ve also spent my career working with stories from just about every angle — as an award-winning journalist, professional writer and editor, recovery coach, book editor, and facilitator.

That’s the practice I keep returning to. And now it’s the one I get to share with other people.

I’ve spent most of my life writing my way back to myself.

…although it took me a long time to realize that’s what I was doing.

WRITE FROM HERE CIRCLES

Come write with us!

We’ll slow down, notice what’s asking for your attention, and use a handful of prompts to follow that thread with curiosity.

You might put words to something you’ve been carrying, see an old story a little differently, or simply leave understanding yourself a little better than when you arrived.

You don’t need to consider yourself a writer, and you never have to share what you write.

Just bring yourself, something to write with, and a little curiosity.

From women who have written with me:

“In your workshop, I learned that the answers come from within if you just take the time to sit and write freely, no planning, no goal, no specific outcome, just whatever comes up. And you also had wonderful prompts.”

Mandy S. (Creator, ‘The Conscious Pause' podcast)

“It was such a wonderful afternoon, you could see the walls breaking down around people. Everyone should attend one of your workshops!”

Ash W. (Author, Broken Human)

“Dani offered a relaxed space where pen and paper connected—and so did people. Everything about the workshop was supportive and encouraging. There was time to both write and reflect, and I took home ideas for more writing. It was exactly what I needed to kickstart my healing journey.”
