The (Writing) Practice Library
A growing collection of restorative writing practices, prompts, and resources for getting curious about what’s here and hearing yourself a little more clearly.
You don’t need to know what you’re looking for yet.
Sometimes you sit down to write because there’s something specific you want to understand. Other times, you just know there’s something there: a thought you keep circling, a feeling you haven’t quite found words for, a question that won’t leave you alone.
The Practice Library is a growing collection of free writing practices designed for those moments.
Pick whatever speaks to you. Grab a notebook. See what shows up.
Finding the Thread
A gentle writing practice for making sense of where you are.
When something feels tangled, it’s tempting to try to understand the whole thing at once. We analyze it from every angle, ask everyone what they think, search for answers, or keep circling the same questions without actually getting anywhere.
Finding the Thread offers another way.
Instead of trying to untangle everything, this guided practice helps you slow down, notice one thing that seems to be asking for your attention, and get curious about it.
You’ll move through four simple stages — Arrive → Follow the Thread → Untangle → Carry Something Forward — using questions and prompts to help you listen for what might be underneath all the noise.
You may find an answer. You may find a better question. You may simply understand yourself a little differently than you did when you started.
52 Journaling Prompts to Come Home to Yourself
A year-long journaling guide to self-reflection, recovery, and inner reconnection.
There’s no right way to use these prompts.
You can move through them in order, choose one at random, come back once a week, write every day for a while, or open the guide three months from now because one particular question suddenly feels like the one you need.
The 52 prompts invite you to explore what you want, what you’ve been carrying, what’s changing, what you’re learning, and who you might be becoming.
This isn’t about getting it right. It’s about getting honest.
No schedule to keep up with. No finished version of yourself waiting at prompt #52. Just 52 places to begin.
